Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to let you know that I will be gone for a few days. I am having surgery this Friday for a spot of skin cancer on the back of my left ear. They are doing the Pre Sugery tests tomorrow and they are having me spend the night Friday in the hospital so they can monitor everything, the good thing is I don't have to stop my Coumadin. The Dr. wants my INR down to my low side. I tested 2.4 today and they said that would work.
I will let you know how everything turns out when I get back home.
Take Care

Here's wishing you the best Dave...

Here's wishing you the best Dave...

I am sorry that you have to go through another surgery, and I will be thinking of you and wishing for nothing but the best for you. Take care, Harrybaby:D :D :D

You guys are mean!! Dave. Hope that all goes well. Will they be doing the Mohs procedure? My father did that for a spot behind his ear. (we had thought his glasses were just rubbing him wrong......come to find he wasn't even wearing his glasses anymore!! uh-oh!) They basically test the tissue they remove, and if there are still bad guys on the perimeter, they go in for abit more. They keep doing this until they feel they have got it all. They got somewhat aggressive with my dad and ended up scheduling him for a little plastic surgery afew weeks later. (he still looks completely normal with an eentsie scar) While it sounds like a lot, it honestly was no big deal. Just somewhat time consuming. That was like 8 years ago. No recurrence. Today is his 86th birthday !! You'll do fine!! I am very glad you are doing this and I hope that you get all those questionable areas just erased!! Please keep us posted. Good luck!

Best wishes Dave.

Best wishes Dave.

Dave,

Hoping that all will go well with the surgery, and let us hear from you when you get home.

Dave, I've been gone all day and just checked in. I hope it's not too late to wish you well and my prayers will be with you. My husband has had skin cancers taken off of both ears for years. One was so deep that they had to rebuild his ear and they used a patch of skin off of his leg and he did fine. He is red headed and rather light skinned so he seems to get these kind of skin cancers so easly. He gets checked once a year. Take it easy and we will be waiting to hear back from you after it is all over.

You are going to be fine

You are going to be fine

With this crowd rooting for you, you'll be ingreat shape in no time! You have my well wishes too! Brian

Umm it's Saturday and I haven't heard a thing yet?
Hey, just cause we can't sleep doesn't mean Dave can't. He is probably sleeping the sound sleep of the heavily medicated.;) ;) :D
I don't think he is scheduled to get released until today and you know how delayed those releases can be. "Keep your pantyhose on.";)
