I had my MOT today and passed again :) Two years out from surgery and everything is stable. I don't need to go back till next year. The cardiologist explained that the pressure gradient is as it is (36mm/HG), which it has been since surgery, because the valve is small so there's some extra pressure needed, but he said that as long as it is stable that's what matters. My ejection fraction is very good at 74%.

great news! i go in for my 3 mos post op in march. its a little late but cardio says its fine. any pointers for "what to ask?"

I always ask for a copy of the print out from the echo so I can be sure to compare it with the previous ones which I keep. But I ask the cardiologist specifically about the pressure gradient and ejection fraction. I mentioned to him about the continuing visual problems but told him several people on here get that and I didn't feel I needed to see anyone about it. Also the touch of costochondritis which is not enough to warrant any treatment. He felt along the sternum and noticed the wires near the surface. He also checks my blood pressure but I bring along three weeks or so home readings because I know my BP is always higher late afternoon but lower late evening and morning.

Anne that great news congrats !
I go for my first post op appointment on Feb 17 to surgeon. And 22nd to cardiologist. Thanks for the tips ! Xx
