My gosh, it will be my birthday tomorrow!

My gosh, it will be my birthday tomorrow!

Thanks Harry. It slipped up on me because I have been spending everyday, almost all day until 10:30 at night with my aunt in the hospital. She had lung cancer surgery and had 60% of her left lung removed. She was put on life support Saturday morning. It's so sad! She is 77 and is a very fragil tiny little lady. They are trying to get her off the vent but everytime they do her heart rate goes real high and she just can't breathe on her own. Her husband is 78 and I know he is going to have to make a very hard decision before long. She had surgery last Wednesday and is not improving in any way. Time seems to move so slow when you're sitting in a hospital room with a loved one. I'm sure that's where I'll spend the day tomorrow. I'll have to celebrate later. Of course at my age I would just as soon forget birthdays.

This sure is a very difficult year for all of us, and I am soooo very sorry to hear about your aunt, I pray that this doesn't take it's toll on your health, as well as Granbonny's health as she deals with her difficult time as well. Yes, Glenda, my twinsister.. I, too, spent it in hospital with my S/I/l... But, my 2 wonderful children took me out for lunch..Gave me presents..and back to the hospital...When I came home tonight, Hubby had a huge bouquet of flowers and a diamond bracelet for me... He was unable to stay with me the entire week and knew what I was going thru... He was so happy to see me and said, he was afraid the balloons would deflate..before I made it home. ..Thanks again, folks, for the good wishes. Bonnie
