almost done with radiation

I have three more entire breast treatments next week and then just 8 daily boosts to the lumpectomy site which will spare the rest of the breast from radiation. So far so good- a little radiation burn under the arm and the breast, but no peeling or blistering and the cream is helping to keep it under control. Not anymore tired than usual, just mighty tired of making that trip to see my techs every morning at 8:30. , but they are wonderful and I will have to bake them a present for the final day. Yippeee- almost done!

I got a diploma when I finished! Congratulations on being almost done (in more ways than one, rare, medium or well)

Expect some scar tissue to eventually develop inside the breast, not bad, but definitely there in little spots.

My experience exactly! As for after-effects, that breast felt completely numb for a long time. When the feeling started coming back, about a year later, I'd have shooting pains (nothing horrible) and tingling. It has now been 4 years and all is well!

I'm very happy for you. I know you've made a complete recovery.
