I know cuts are not a major issue and will just take longer to stop bleeding, iam putting a diary together, so it is hand when i need it. Does it become a problem at any time, like say after a while and it just wont stop bleeding. Thanks Paula x

Paula - when you have some time, go to Al's web site and learn a whole bunch about coumadin. You'll be glad you did and will be a whole lot more comfortable with the whole thing. Go to http://warfarinfo.com and read to your hearts content.

Bleeding and incisions

Hi M894

There's a lot to learn about warfarin before you come to terms with it. Last week I had a minor surgery on my cheek. The incision is about 2" long. It was done with me fully warfarinized (INR=4.3 which is a little high). However the bleeding stopped five minutes following the procedure and I went home. Dr. said to keep pressure over the site and this caused it to bleed briefly. And that's that. Over and done with. No more bleeding.

Go to Al Lodwick's site and read it over--it's a good thing to do.

Cheers
