Highest mold and ragweed count on record. Sept. is the only month that gets me and I gotta do something. Anyone have any experience with INR effects from Claritin, Allegra or Zyrtec ?

I was told and take only Allegra. It doesn't do a thing for me either. :( I really need to check into the others to see why they don't want me to take them. I used to take Claritin all the time and it worked well.

I go for allergy shots..........

I go for allergy shots..........

I have been going now for years and I find that it really does help-I go once per month. I still am bothered here and there with mold and ragweed but nowhere near what I used to be like! I was given an Rx for Allegra to use when I needed it.

Joe takes Allegra as needed. It hasn't affected his INR. This season has been horrible for allergies, and for my asthma. I've never had it so bad. Usualy it's only the fir tree pollen that gets me early in the season, but this year ragweed did a number too. It's almost gone, thank God.

I've used Claritin for about 5 years. I only take it when the allergies are bad and I never noticed a change in my INR from the intermittent use.

This really is the worst allergy season in a while!

Wow, I'm so glad I have fellow sufferers out there. I've been getting shots for years now and haven't had a problem, but THIS SEPTEMBER IS HORRIBLE!!! We got home from the dog show in Springfield Mass about two weeks ago. We got off the ferry on eastern Long Island and I immediately knew I was in trouble. I've had runny eyes, stuffed nose ,etc. since.....only hope it abates soon. I take xyrtec, flonase, and patanol for eyes....when it's this bad, nothing works!!!! I do take Advair for my asthma, Nancy, and haven't had an attack----famous last words----since I've been on it. It use to be that if we went to a dog show indoors in the fall/winter, I ended up going on prednisone because of all the dander, etc. inside. With Adviair, I don't have to worry,

Hi Evelyn-

I take Advair also, and usually it works great. But this year it has been an underachiever. Maybe I need a higher dose. Thank God for albuterol. It seems to be quite a bit better now that ragweed season has just about gone away. So we'll see. I'm on the lowest dose and like to stay as low as possible because it affects my voice. The fall is OK, or has been in the past. But if it continues, then I'll have to get bumped up.
