Hi!
Today is the 10th post-surgery day and I have been at home for three days now.
My aortic valve was repaired with my own tissue, so I don't have to use any anti-coagulation medications (I'm so glad!).
My rest pulsation before surgery was approximately 65 bpm, but now I'm constantly having 85 bpm. I'm getting beta-blockers for the symptoms. I'm also having antibiotics and pain-killers.
I'm having small difficulties with sleeping and I have to rest once in a while during the day but on the whole I'm feeling OK.

alek great news that your doing ok,still early days yet so sleeping will get better, heart rate does tend to go up after surgery, just the heart showing of,am sure it will come down given time, good that theres no anti coag meds, you soon be chasing rainbows again lol

Alek,

Good to hear that you are doing well. I hope that it only goes uphill from here and that you are back to yourself soon.
Best wishes!

I forgot to mention that I was diagnosed to have a bicuspid aortic valve. The other cusp had a hole that was patched with my own tissue and the other cusp had been ruptured and it was stitched to be like it used to be. The edge of the aortic valve was also stitched to be more steady.
