I thought this rated some merit. Joe was put on Aldactone along with his Lasix to get rid of the ascitic fluid from his disastrous gallbladder surgery. It did a great job and is continuing to work very well indeed.

He has CHF and in the past has been on only Lasix, with Zaroxolyn when he got into trouble. But the combination of Lasix and Aldactone has been terrific. I can't detect any fluid at all in his ankles or anywhere else. He's feeling much better. I'll keep you posted on how this combo is continuing to work.

This might be a good combo for those who have CHF.

By the way, Joe had his cardiology appt. yesterday and he got a great checkup. The cardiologist thinks he's amazing.

His repaired heart is doing fantastically well. It held up superbly through some of the very, very difficult things that have happened recently. It speaks volumes to the skills of Dr. DePan.

Hi Nancy.....so glad to hear Joe is doing well. Every time I look at your posts, I always read the bottom part about all the surgeries he's had and think how strong he is and how amazing you are to have gotten through it all and still have so much to give for others. I wish him many many more years of good health, especially now that that damned old gallbladder is missing!

We're doing fine here in Long Island. Tyce is great and feels better by the day. I think one of the biggest things for him was that he now can lift 10#. He doesn't feel "useless" (as he says) anymore and can do little things......guess it's a man thing! Emotionally he's so much better now and boy is that important, too.

Peace
Evelyn

Hi Evelyn-

You guys are pretty amazing yourselves. People who've been through this trial by fire come out such winners on the other side. What a tribute this site is to the strength of the human body and spirit.

I'm so happy for you that Tyce is doing so well. You're a real trooper.
