I don't remember your asking to be gone for FIVE days from Vr.Com...And, just where were you? :D We miss you when you are gone that long..what would we ever do without you? :D :D :D Besides, I had a fresh pot of Possum roadkill to mail to you :p :p You snooze..You Lose.. :D Welcome back..Bonnie

Bonnie,

I could have sent you pounds and pounds of possum roadkill last week. They were all over Florida. Too bad I didn't have your address. :D :D :D

Are you sure..they were not..Armadillo??..Possum meat is much more tender... :D Bonnie

Actually there were both. The Armadillos are interesting because the shell keeps them looking like they are still upright.

I saw the possums more at dusk. I guess that is when they are running around more. As odd as it sounds, they are somewhat "cute" with their pink eyes and that long tail.

Do you really eat possum meat or is this just a joke?

Do I eat..Possum meat????Ask all the valvers that went to last year's reunion..I sent several cases to them..for appetizers.. :D ..Al was the one that raved the most.. :p Bonnie

I heard about the possum meat but I wasn't sure if it was really possum meat or just something like deviled ham with "trick" labels.

OR - will we never know for sure?

I was up in the mountains above Pagosa Springs and near Wolf Creek Pass. No possums were seen or eaten but we did see a black bear. Some people thought it was a grizzly but I thing it was just shedding and the old fur looked grizzled.

The water has a very high sulfur content and comes out of the ground at about 140 degrees F. I don't like the real hot stuff. I like it about 90. If you take two of the foam noodles - 1 under the arms and 1 behind the neck, you can float weightless endlessly. I can even fall asleep in the pool (it is big like a swimming pool.) That is the greatest stress reliever that I know.
