I have been steady at around 3.4 for the past few weeks.. tested two weeks ago, then today and I was 4.2. I have been taking 7.5 mg nightly except for Tues. and Thurs. I take 10 mg. (57.5/week) I really only like to deal with one nurse there, b/c she is the only one who knows what she is doing. However, she isn't there today, so I was told to take 2.5 mg tonight, then go back to normal dosing, then check again in two weeks. My "regular" nurse would tell me to re-check in a week most likely... also I don't know about taking 2.5 on a night I usually take 10. Any advice is, as always, appreciated.

I'd take 5mg tonight and then resume your normal schedule. Maybe try a little more Vit K intake until you get tested again. 4.2 is no biggie. It could just be a weird reading that will correct itself by the next time you get tested, but if your worried, my suggestion is 5mg, not 2.5. Your a larger doser, so you'll drop faster.

I echo what "Mr. Gibbs" says --- 4.2 is no biggie.

I tested Friday & mine was 4.9 so I just 5mg that night instead of the 10mg & then 5mg again on Saturday & then Sunday resumed my normal dose of 10mg & then I will check again on Friday or Saturday of this week. I've also been eating like I normally do --- no more Vit K than my salads.

I'm sure you'll be fine.

I kinda knew I was on the high end of INR because I started bruising really bad if I accidentally bumped into anything.

OK, how did Mr. Gibbs turn into Ross??

Yeah, I will just take 5 mg. tonight and call my nurse tomorrow, b/c I'm sure she'll tell me to come in next week so I won't be worrying about it. I would try to up my K intake but it's pretty hard when my intake is high to begin with. 4.2 doesn't really bother me, I just don't want to go higher like I was doing in the early part of the spring.

Anyhow, thanks y'all :)

Sounds like good advice to me Halley!! Dr Young and Norma Jean the head nurse are pretty good they helped me several times with my adjustments and they did'nt even send me a BILL!!! Good Luck!!! :)
