admitted after heart cath??

have anyone of you been admitted after your heart cath? my cath is two days before my surgery and it says that i may be admitted that day. has anyone been admitted after this. it says to bring my toiletries and anything i want in the hospital with me if i am admitted. i am just wondering whether i should have everything ready for when i go for my cath or just wait until i go in the day of my surgery.

I never hurts to throw the items in the trunk of your car. If you need them than family & friends can retrieve them for you. I would defiantly take them with me. Like the boy scouts say "Always Be Prepared"

hubby bought a blackberry so that i would be able to go online while i was still the hospital. don't know how much i am going to want to do that but it was sweet of him none the less.

I had my heart cath the day before surgery and was checked into the hospital that day and the surgery was sch. the next day... I'm not sure why they did it this way but thats my story LOL! I am praying for a successful surgery and speedy recovery for you!!!

My son has had 4 caths. and has spent the night after 2 of them. One time it had to do with time of day. The cath. was later so they want to watch him for 5-6 hours afterward and by that time the nursing shifts were over so they just admitted him. The next time it happened was because there was a pleural effusion and they wanted to watch it and have pulmonology sign off before he could go home. I guess it is better to be prepared for it just in case.
