A very bad week

Hi al,
Havn't been around much in the last week or so, hope all are doing well.
Last Wed nite at 11:59pm our youngest daughter gave birth to our new grandson(our seventh grandchild).
It was an emergency c-section after not being able to deliver naturally all day.
Baby was close to seven pounds BUT one month premature.
His lungs were not working properly so at 4:00am that morning he was transported to Childrens Hospital here where they specalize in child care.
He came back to our local hospital late Sat and now is doing well.
Might go home by Thur or Friday.
So I take my daughter up there at 4:00pm yesterday to see and feed the baby. On our way home we get rear-ended by a distracted woman as we sit stopped waiting for a traffic light.
The seat belt catches my daughter right on her incision and she screams in pain. The ambulance takes us back to the hospital we just left.
We both checked out OK but are very sore today.
Woke up this morning with a flat tire, a three inch nail stuck in the tire.
Got that fixed, talked with our insurance agent and got estimates on our truck.
That's been my week so far, hope yours was better than mine.

you poor thing ....I'm sorry to hear about the tyre and the truck and I hope you and your daughter are feeling much less sore ....but congratulations on the gift of a Grandson ...how is he doing ?,,,,what did she call him ?.....best wishes for a better rest of the week .....

PS I had a flat tyre today at the supermarket ...hubby was working away in another town ..so really didn't know what to do ..I know how to change a tyre but they are soooooo heavy ! ...so I did my helpless female act ...it worked a dream ...no less than four Scots Men came to my aid ....*sigh *

That's scary, so soon after major stitching. I'm glad everyone is (more or less) O.K.

Lotsa lousy luck, but looks like you balance out a real winner in the end. Congrats, Grandpa!

Rich were you down here and didn't tell me? That's the kind of crap that happens to me and my family. Glad everyone is alright.

Hopefully things will get better from here.
Just got back from the hospital to visit the little one.
They are going to stop the oxygen tonight and see how he does on his own.
Maybe he will finally get to go home in another day or two.
Other then that my daughter and me are just sore tonight.
