Hi Gang,
I just wanted to post and ask that yall keep my brother in your prayers as he was in a serious car accident last Thursday...The right wheel came off of his Ford Escape and he veered off to the right and rolled his truck over 4 times after hitting a state sign and if he hadn't had his seat belt on he would have been dead for sure. I didn't post sooner, because it seemed as if he was all right when I made my mad dash 50 miles to him in Manchester Catholic Medical Center where he was taken....They Xrayed him, they Cat Scanned him and they said that he was allright.....that is until today....he found out from CMC that they read the CT scan wrong, and he has a moderate to severe internal head injury (They said his brain was rattled inside the skull from the impact of the rollovers) He is not going to be able to drive and I have been going nuts with worry. His lawyers are going to go after the people who sold him the truck and the insurance company who refused to pay for it even though he was covered.
What really upsets me is that the VA Hospital REFUSED to take him, yet they also would not tell me where they sent him to, so I had a wild goose chase and went to 3 different hospitals before someone had compassion enough to forgo the HIPA privacy act and at least tell me what hospital he was taken to....I AM EXTREMELY ANGRY ABOUT THIS because for all I know he could have died before I got to him, and I had to drive by the scene of the accident and when I saw his truck, I really freaked. I am amazed I could keep my car on the road....but obviously, I had to keep strong for him. I wish they could loosen the HIPA laws a bit so that family members can at least find out where their relatives are at in a case like this and be able to go to them when needed....
Anyway, I have been thanking the Lord Almighty that he is not paralyzed or dead, and I was just hoping you would all say a little prayer that he heals quickly. Sorry for venting, but I wanted to let you all know what has gone on over the past few days... Harrybaby
