To my friends @VR.com --

I thought I'd check in for a minute to say how much I miss "chatting" with you, offering support and finding solace.

I am doing very well. My health is stable. I've taken up yoga and strength-training, plus a new diet high in protein and carbs. (Yes, I'm one of those people who can't put on weight). Food is medicine, and meditation (or prayer) is, too. (That's my new motto).

I've really tried to focus on the very strong possibility that I'll off all meds by the next few years, and hopefully living a full life again. I honestly feel great, and am very happy. Most of all, I have hope that my heart condition is temporary. I could be wrong, but am choosing to think otherwise. (Mind over matter).

I want you to know how much I appreciate your support during one of the most difficult times of my life. I couldnt' have made it without you.

Many blessings, peace and much happiness --

Kim Caroline

So glad you checked in...........

So glad you checked in...........

I've been worrying about you. You really sound like you are in a wonderful frame of mind, so I just know that the rest of your body has to follow. (BTW, my drill sergeant in boot camp constantly told our platoon that it was just "mind over matter" - he didn't mind and we didn't matter! :D But we survived and felt pretty good at the end of it all...........and you will, too!)

On a different note, I can't tell you how much your blue heron story meant to me at a time when I really needed it. And your kids (from what I can make out in that scrambled picture on Katie's thread) are adorable. Do keep us posted as you know we will worry. Many hugs and much love. Janet

Hi Kim! Glad to hear you are well. Your attitude couldn't be better. For what it's worth, my instinct agrees with "temporary". Rock on, woman!

Janet, you made me feel so great, thank you! Thanks PJ! And Ross ... HEY! Not fat, just muscle, dude.

Kim,
So great to hear from you and I am so happy to hear that you are feeling better and have a PMA (positive mental attitude :) ) I pray that you continue to feel better and continue to hang on to the bull's horns. ;)

Thanks for posting.

Thanks for posting.

Hi Kim. I was thinking of you the other day! I was just about ready to ask about you. Must have been that september was rolling in and with children going back to school.......

You sound very good. I'm so glad that you have a new rhythm and a comfortable acceptance (mixed with instinctive stubbornness :D -- the best stuff!!) of your health and body.

Wishing you continued peace and a newfound amazement over what you can, in fact, train your body to do.

Keep in touch, please.

:) Marguerite
