Hey folks,

First off, thank you to everyone whom has replied to my previous posts, you have provided me with a lot of useful information!
(I've been busy completing uni assessments and haven't had the chance to get on here to reply)

Secondly,

I have my open heart surgery in just over two days... this coming Friday.. it's currently Tuesday night here in Melbourne.
I'm starting to panic a little, as you do and feel a little sick - but I don't know if I feel sick because of something I've eaten or if it's because of all the worrying.

Anyway onto my question,

I have have 'Clubbing' of the Fingers and Toes due to low Oxygen in the Blood (It's the same type of Clubbing that can be seen in heavy smokers), but mine isn't really too bad/noticeable... does anyone know if after my OH Surgery on Friday, if my fingers will stay the same or if they will become 'normal'? - I'm having an ASD Atrial septal defect repaired, the hole size is 1.1cm x 1.2cm from what I can remember. (See photo)

I'm just interested..

I can't answer your question about clubbing, but I can wish you the best as you head in for your operation! I think that in a few weeks you'll be asking yourself why you were so worried heading into the procedure.
