A picture for Blanche.

Dear Blanche--I hope you enjoy. I have been saving a picture of Barb's friend, a beautiful young woman, radiant and joyful in the sunshine. In the background are the ruins of an ancient Indian dwelling. There are a lot of interesting contrasts here. Obviously the most striking is the contrast between lives long past, and the energy & beauty of a young woman soaking up the sunshine.

My first thought in viewing the photo "delightful". She has a look of joy and delight on her face. The photo made me smile!

what a beautiful picture, Dennis. Those ruins have so much to say. Wish we knew ALL that they say. Those folks were just amazing in what we know of them.

I appreciate all of the nice comments. What I noticed when I took the picture: 1. A vibrant young woman standing in lush green plants, with ancient ruins and no living plants in the background.

2. A small woman wearing a large jacket (mine).

3. The jacket and the hands in pockets signify cold, but the sudden appearance of sun that caused her to close her eyes and lift her face implies a sudden warmth.

4. To top it all off, this is a naturally beautiful woman.

The moment I snapped the photo I knew it was going to be one of my all time favorites. I had been looking for an opportunity to post it. When Blanche asked about a photo, I knew exactly which one to choose. I am very glad for the comments of those who have appreciated it.
