Harpoon

My wife and I are going through wedding photos for a big feature story we're doing for the newspaper's bridal tab which comes out in a few weeks. This afternoon we were going through wedding photos to pick out stuff for the story.

I thought I'd share one of our son Patrick.

He loves bubbles...

Can you make him a little bigger? Just a touch?

Sharp dressed man you got there. I wish they could stay that small sometimes. I'm sure your one proud dad!

Harpoon,
What a cutie! I remember mine about that age, so much fun. Now he's 22 and STILL fun... but a lot less work. Enjoy every moment, they grow up so fast!

Yes, he is an imp, blond hair though. =)

I'm killing time here at the office while my wife finishes up some stuff she didn't get a chance to do last night before 2am when we were both fading fast and needed to crawl into bed....

A few weeks ago Patrick and I were out to pick up something for mommy to have for lunch at work and he saw a bunch of flowers in the window of a hair salon. He thought it was a flower shop and wanted to get a flower for mommy.

I explained that it wasn't a flowershop, then took him across the street to where there WAS a flowershop and let him pick out something special for mommy... =)

I've been playing around with Photoshop here, this is just a close up of course... I think the full shot is going in my portfolio, might buy more flowers to shoot, pretend to be Robert Maplethorpe or something....

Harpoon,

Very nice shot of the iris.

If you want to emulate Maplethorpe, though, don't you need a couple of fully shaved young men, sans clothing, and a strong sidelight? ;)

Ravenlaw:

Maybe if I was gay...

He also shot a lot of flowers.

I'd opt for photographing nude women over men, though I don't think my wife would approve of me shooting either. :D

He is sooo cute! Enjoy him while you have him. They grow up too fast! My youngest turned 18 and joined the Army in October. I still get weepy every time I think about him. It's an adjustment to not have kids at home.
