We had a busy day here in southwest indiana with friends burning up the all terrain vehical trails, some wine and cheese, then a short trip south to eat supper at a local diner. We had a short but heavy rainfall late in the afternoon, and the trip home from the restaurant was spectacular. The sky was still a light blue despite the setting sun and the sky was splashed with orange clouds like a painter had carefully used his pallet to entertain us. As we approached a peak in the county road we could see the cows and a few deer in the fields below us as the fog began to mist on the low lands. The approach to the farm is through a narrow county road with pine trees that arch overhead on both sides. Far ahead we could see an opening, but it was full of fog and presented a mystic end to a perfect day. God is good to south central indiana and I wanted to share that with all of you. :)

Thanks for sharing. I can see the landscape from your description. Wish I had been there in person but you gave the next best thing.

Same here..We went down to celebrate our new Russian Granson's 4th birthday.. He was so excited..Been home just now for 5 months and all-American boy...speaking all English......Knew all about the singing of Happy Birthday..blowing out his candles..and opening presents. :) We came home, too, at dusk..Cows in pasture..several deer along the road to house..No traffic..just a very peaceful setting... :) ..In the valley below us..must be a herd of 200 black and white cows..grazing..Hubby made a comment that the owner should out out a very large sign that says..EAT MORE BEEF.. :p Bonnie
