I'm working through Jordan Petersons book 12 rules for life. Loving it. This quote stood out to me as relevant to all who are newly diagnosed.

"Once we can see the future we must prepare for it, or live in denial and terror"
p174

Nobody can see the future. That beer truck can hit you at any time

So when you get the results from the scan saying you need surgery, do nothing. Deny it. Don't prepare.
