Today makes 8 weeks post op for me. I am currently in a cardiac rehab program and doing well. I have been back at work for about a week and a half and I am feeling great! I think back to the weeks before my surgery and it is hard to believe that I was back riding my scooter and driving after only 4 weeks. The first few weeks after surgery were tough, but I felt better every day. I would again like to thank all of the members of this forum whose encouragement and advice helped me get through the surgery and recovery.
To all of our pre-op members, hang in there and dont hesitate to ask our members the questions that will help you get through no matter how insignificant they may seem at the time.

My turn is getting close. You don't know how badly I needed to hear a success story right now. Thanks Mike and keep on clicking.

Congrats!
I know what you mean being a couple weeks pre-op, I could not even imagine even walking around the block! When you finally turn that corner, it sure feels good.
God bless,

Congrats, glad to hear you are doing so well, and enjoying it. Keep up the good work.

Way to go Mike. It was good to have your company and support when I was on the other side of the mountain and just as good to see we've both made it to this point. Everyone should have a valve partner going into this and once again I'll say three cheers to this site for making that possible. I'm already beginning to look forward to looking back on this experience from the viewpoint of months and years vs. the weeks I've counted up to now. We'll compare notes again when we meet those marks. Jane
