Hi Everyone! I'm just wondering if anyone can shed any light on this. I have been on the same dosages of coumadin for years with just a few quick tweeks here and there. In June I was 1.9. I usually was around 2.1. I tweeked my meds a little and then was using a cream for a yeast infection. My next INR was 3.7. My meds were tweeked slightly and then put back on my regular doses. I just tested again and I am at 3.1. I'm happy with that but I am just wondering what could be causing such a jump in my INR with my regular doses? The only thing that has changed since June was that my diet now consists of much more whole wheat products....not much enriched white....and a little more protein and less sugar. Could the whole wheat or whole grain foods be effecting my INR? I am exercising and I would have thought if my metabolism was faster that my INR would be lower. I'm just wondering what would be causing this. If anyone has any ideas let me know. I would really appreciate it.
Take Care!
Gail
