Well we took my boyfriend back to the Dr yesterday for a checkup and things are looking up! The pacemaker has been kicking in some to help his heart however it appears his heart has not stopped beating at all! The Dr released him for work however since he is an auto mechanic he will be on light duty as he cannot lift and pull as he could pre surgery but he is excited to get out of the house for a change. He is not taking several of the medications he was on before so that's always good news, he is now taking a few that he was not before however they are vitamins and things for discomfort if he has any at any time. He did explain to the Dr the strange symptoms he has been feeling lately however the Dr seems to think it is completely normal since he is only 4 months post opp and he could continue to feel this way for a year or more, depending on his heart and how well he takes care of himself. He truely is a miracle as is everyone on this site. It's so comforting to read all the success stories on this site, between that and prayer it's the only hope we have had in several months. We pray that he will continue to improve and hope that we may in some way be able to help others that have been through what he has been through. It's tough to know that at 26 years old he almost lost his life but thanks to modern medicine, a wonderful surgeon, and faith in God he is still here and doing great! :)

What wonderful news. Sending hugs to the both of you. Tell your boyfriend to just take it slow. It is true that sometimes it takes up to a year to feel 100%. You a a wonderful person to stand beside him and love him no matter what. :)

This is such good news to read, especially after your post two days ago! I think this was a new doctor, correct? It sounds like you are much more comfortable with him than the last one. Congrats also on your boyfriend getting the go ahead to go back to work. That will make him feel much better too, just tell him to take it easy and not push too much at the beginning. He is lucky to have you by his side. Best wishes for continued good health!

Sounds like your BF is doing just fine with his recovery & I hope that he continues to do better & better each day.

Do tell him though to take it easy & not try to lift or move things that are too heavy. It take a good while before you heal inside so that's important.
