Letting you know I had another colonoscopy today. After 15 days of bleeding (light to variable) from the last colonoscopy, the GE decided to take a "peek" at what was going on. This time he did an upper and lower scope, a "double" as they call it - from both ends  . He found nothing different from last time, and the bleeding stopped just before the test - go figure. All in all, its good news. :)

He did take out 2 small polyps that were there last time. He just decided to "take" them this time. I'll get a follow up appointment next week or so to get more info about living with Crohn's. They also did standard blood test - will get results later.

Nap time........zzz...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....:)

Wow, dr Goodhands really worked you over. sort of up and down, huh? or from here to there?

Oh, my - just go sleep. I'll hush.

p.s. glad no bad results that you didn't know about already.

Just as it quits bleeding, he has to go in and snip a few more. To quote Rodney Dangerfield, "Ya just can't get no respect".

The anethesiologist said they turned me over several times, were considering just hanging me by me feet. :) Now that I'm back on Lovenox, I'm bleeding again. :( I napped all day and am awake in the middle of the night. I'll try to stay awake tomorrow (today) to get back in synch. My spirits are high. :D

So sorry you are having to go through all of this! But at least it seems that there is good news, not bad. If you could just get that darn bleeding to stop! Probably from the irritation of all that testing!

Hope you feel better soon.

Let's hope that this is the end of it - no pun intended. I think you deserve a really lovely vacation now.

Over the river (bridge).

Over the river (bridge).

I'll take the pun, thank you. Looks like this is the "end" of it. Thank God! :):):) My INR was 1.9 this morning. I have had zero bleeding the last three days. The 3-week bridge was a little draining (pun intended) .

My Coumadin nurse surprised me with a huge boost dose for tonight and will keep me well dosed over the weekend. My normal dose is 22.5-25.0 mg per week. I've already taken 20.0 in four days. I'm to take 7.5 tonight, 5.0 Sat, and 5.0 Sun. That's 37.5 mg in one week.

I pushed back (as the assertive VR.commer that I am  ) that the 7.5+5.0+5.0 seemed a little aggressive. I was also concerned that the cardio is moving offices today, and wanted to be sure that the nurse wasn't rushing or distracted. Anyway, she was equally assertive and well versed in my history with my file in her hands. I will follow instructions.

Any guesses what my INR will be Monday? Closest one gets a prize. :D

I wouldn't be surprised if your weekly requirement ends up being different than it was before all of this started. I'm glad your dose is boosted up to get you in range because, as you know, I would much rather be too high and have to adjust slowly downward than the reverse. I wouldn't dare to venture a guess as to where your INR will be Monday..........well, maybe....2.4. :)

Betty,

Yup, I'm am absolutley with you about prefering high to low. The test Monday will likely not reflect much of what I take tonight or over the weekend. So my guess is that whatever I am Monday, it will continue to go up.

To be fair, I must add that the Pentasa will likely lower my INR and increase my regular Coumadin dose. Also, my INR was in the mid 3's on weekly dose of 22.5-25.0 before all this started.

Now that I've made full disclosure, you have permission to adjust your guess if you would like.

You said, "Any guesses what my INR will be Monday? Closest one gets a prize."

Granbonny likes polls, so i did what comes naturally.
