My Xmas gifts are bought wrapped and under tree.:) ...Now, it's time for some warm-fuzzy feelings..of helping others.:) Today, I went to Wal-Mart and bought a large bag of dried dog/cat food for local animal shelter...I will have hubby to take inside..I won't go inside. Afraid..I might see too many animals and bring them home with me. but, know, at least..they will be well fed....:) Total cost..$18.00...Yes, we do have many ads in local paper for Human needs..but, unwanted animals need us, too...Bonnie

our local no-kill shelter has collection bins in several grocery stores in town - they get LOTS of food that way. They also specify what they're short on - sometimes it's not even animal food (they get big shipments from Purina); but things like Clorox and paper towels and litter. I think it's terrific.

Bonnie, what a great idea! I'm just like you. I can't stand to go there and see the animals. I want to bring everyone of them home. There is no way I could work in a place like that. I can't even watch their advertisement on tv.

Bonnie,
When my daughter received an unexpected bonus around Thanksgiving, she took $100 of it and bought food and supplies for our local Humane Shelter. They love her; she and her husband have adopted two cats and three dogs over the past 8 years from there.
I'm glad you're an animal lover too!:)
