Although I had my annual check-up a few months ago, today is the anniversary of my surgery nine years ago.
It sure brings back a lot of memories of that day, mostly all good ones.
I did the driving to the hospital that morning, and I'm not sure how we got there in one piece, my mind sure wasn't on driving that day.
On the lighter side tommorow is our 45th wedding anniversary.
People always ask how long wev'e been married, so I say 'for seven happy years, that ain't bad out of 45' ;) and then I say 'I hardly regret a day of it, that day was July 30th,1960'.
Then when I pick myself up off the floor I go looking for my bruises.
Guess I might have to behave myself while on Coumadin.

Happy 45th anniversary and Happy nine years of a new life! Wishing you at least 45 more of the same on both counts. :D

Wishing you a very happy double anniversary! And tell your wife to kick you for me - for that 7 happy years comment! :D

Hope you celebrate both of your special anniversaries. I always feel a kinship with you, Rich, since you're only ahead of me by one year. Take care and have a good one. :) :)

Thank you all,
Sherry,
Looking at your picture I find it hard to believe you are just one year behind me.
I could believe 20 or 30 and no I'm not being a wise guy.
Are you sure it was me?
You are 66 yrs old??No way!
Rich

Rich congratulations on 45 "happy" years. You and my husband would get along well. He says the same thing and we were married 44 years on July 22, so you have us beat by a year. I pray we both make it to 50!! :) :)

Oops, Rich, maybe I should have clarified. Surgically, I'm one year behind you (eight years). I'm 41 years young ;) ;)

Sorry Sherry

Sorry Sherry

Dear Sherry,
What a dumbell I am.
I sincerely apologize if my stupidity insulted you in any way.
It dawned on me this morning and I said to myself 'that's not what she meant stupid'!
If we ever get a chance to meet in person, please whack me across the side of the head. ;)
My wife and I may travel to your part of the country someday, I have some extended family whom I've never met. They reside somwhere around Franklin.
On a more serious note, I'm glad we both are still around.
It sure would have been great to have a site like this back then.

You're not kidding, Rich. I would have loved to have had some support back then. I was totally in the dark; that's for sure. Hey, if you two are ever in or around Evansville, give us a call. Franklin (at least the one I'm familiar with) is south of Indy, which is several hours north of us. Take care. :) :)
