All of a sudden I felt crucial pain on touching my arm next to my elbow. Ouch!

It is painful area to the touch, round shaped, not soft not hard...thick-jelly like, slightly blue, and can be pushed a bit around!

I forgot to take my 8 mgs of Warfarin on Saturday. I took them instead on Sunday around 5 pm instead of the usual 10:30 pm routine. Today, I again took 8 mg instead of the usual 7 mgs.

When I felt the pain, I checked my INR which was 2.2!!

I put warm pads on the area and I hope it will help dissolve it if it is a clot.

Any thoughts?! Thanks in advance.

:)

Eva,

I get little knots from time to time and they are usually in the center of a bruise. The knots are sore and take a while to go away, just another thing I deal with on warfrin. With a 2.2 INR I feel sure you are fine but if it continues to bother you (physically or by worry) get it checked out.

hugs,
Tom

Thanks, Tom, for sharing. Normally 2.2 INR does not worry me, but 2.2 and a knot did worry me a bit.

This nmorning the knot was less painful and much smaller, with no change in color!!

I remember now that I did have a similar knot a bit lower than the top of my family doctor nor cardio gave it any importance.

Hugs back, Eva :)
