A Christmas baby

My grandson was born at 12:50 am 25th December 2007 weighing in at 7 pounds 6 ounces. Mother and baby doing well, father very proud and on his way home to collect the baby seat in order to take them home! No name as yet.

The promise of life continues.

They are both being kept in hospital for another night as the paediatrician who examinied him heard a heart murmur so wants another doctor to check him out, and possibly do a heart scan. My son-in-law listened and said it is barely audible and in his experience newborns can often have a very slight murmur which is innocent and clears. He isn't too worried at this time - my son-in-law is a paediatrician himself.
