Wow... I'm not alone... I've all these fellow vr.com family is going through this journey with me.
As such i'm in pretty good shape/mood. I consider this like a long flight journey across the ocean. I trust my life to the piolot (my surgeon) and sleep during the journey. When I wake up I will be on the other side of the ocean. Feeling bit tired, but feeling great I made the torturous long journey. I will be happy I made it to my destination with the help of the flight crew(surgical team). I will be happy I could see my family again on the other side.
Fellows... Keep up the good spirit. I'm fortunate to have a fellow vr.com member (mikekass) in the same city and going to get the procedure done with the same surgeon. We keep exchanging notes/thoughts. I welcome others to do the same.
It is so comforting to read the information posted by other veterans here. I know the complication rate is very very low and this procedure has been perfected by the surgeons over the years. So ... just prepare yourself for the surgery by taking care of important stuff.
I'm collecting books, videos and music to spend time off at the hospital and at home. I'm buying recliner (me and mikekass checked out few yesterday) in couple of days. Preparing the house for my comfortable stay (looking forward to the long vacation from work!).
(PS) I started off with 7 ... and went on to add 2 more to make it to 9.
