July 13th - Denobobeno
July 14th - Mikekass
July 14th - pfsinger
July 18th - Dustin
July 18th - Kimfusca? ( Is july 18th the date?)
July 20th - Yours faithfully
July 21st - Leah35

Wow... I'm not alone... I've all these fellow vr.com family is going through this journey with me.

As such i'm in pretty good shape/mood. I consider this like a long flight journey across the ocean. I trust my life to the piolot (my surgeon) and sleep during the journey. When I wake up I will be on the other side of the ocean. Feeling bit tired, but feeling great I made the torturous long journey. I will be happy I made it to my destination with the help of the flight crew(surgical team). I will be happy I could see my family again on the other side.

Fellows... Keep up the good spirit. I'm fortunate to have a fellow vr.com member (mikekass) in the same city and going to get the procedure done with the same surgeon. We keep exchanging notes/thoughts. I welcome others to do the same.

It is so comforting to read the information posted by other veterans here. I know the complication rate is very very low and this procedure has been perfected by the surgeons over the years. So ... just prepare yourself for the surgery by taking care of important stuff.

I'm collecting books, videos and music to spend time off at the hospital and at home. I'm buying recliner (me and mikekass checked out few yesterday) in couple of days. Preparing the house for my comfortable stay (looking forward to the long vacation from work!).

(PS) I started off with 7 ... and went on to add 2 more to make it to 9.

hey !:)

hey !:)

you forgot ME!!

Musician2k - a.k.a. Chris - July 11th.

and there's a blood shortage in Indiana now. Hrm....hope my surgery actually occurs!

But yes, they've perfected so many things in recent years. It won't be easy but this is doable and besides, we have no choice. It'll be fine.....best of luck to you & yours.

Jiniani,
I don't see your surgery on our VR calendar!
You need to add it so it shows up 48 hours in advance to remind us all. ;)
If you have any problems putting it on, just yell and someone will help! :)

Thanks by the way for adding me to your list! :) I really liked your analogy of 'taking a long trans-continental flight"; that really works for me. There comes a time when worry & fret just won't cut it, just be at peace & have faith.

Good luck to all of you....Don't worry! It won't help, nor is it necessary...Just know that you couldn't have picked a better time if you had to have surgery. You've got alot of people praying and pulling for you all. Another thing you all should know is that the Doctors and especially the nurses and aids know what you are about to go thru and they're great. Don't worry about looking like a big baby...Shoot, I am and they took really great care before and after.

Take Care

Wow! July is a very popular time for OHS this year!

Thanks, Jiniani, for posting the list. It's so great to know that we are not alone!

I'll be thinking about and praying for everyone (including me!). We'll all do great and will be posting again in no time.

Best of Luck

Best of Luck

Hey 2K,

Best of luck tomorrow.

And to all the others with impending transatlantic flights.

Regards
Chris

In my prayers

In my prayers

Seeing all of you surrounded in loving healing light and having smooth uneventful surgeries and recoveries. Amazing that something so miraculous could be considered 'uneventful'!

Love,
Liz
