April 2nd was 7 whole years since my mechanical aortic valve became a part of me. My valve has been my trusty friend since that day and we have apparently played nicely together over all of these years.

I will be going for my yearly echo to verify things are good, but I feel better than I ever have.

I'll be turning the big 40 this year so it had better be in it for the long haul like i am..

Thank you so much for all of your kind words and support to me personally and to this site. You are all cherished in my heart..

Peace to you and yours..

Hank

Happy 7th and wishes for 70 more. Thanks for being here to help all of us.

Happy 7th Anniversary! I know it doesn't seem possible to be that long already. Time is flying by much faster then anyone would like it too.

Well Done

Well Done

I trust all goes well with the echo and your cleared for another 12 months. I hope things keep going well with the valve for many years to come. I think your the one that deserves the praise for the great resource that you have created for us all with VR. :)

It's inspiring to see mechanical valvers do great. Keep up the good work.

Best wishes,

Congratulations on 7 years!:D So glad you're feeling so good and I'm sure your echo will bear this out. Thanks also for starting this web site for all of us "valvers". Sort of reminds me of the "Cheers song"...sometimes you got to go where everybody knows your name or in our case where everybody shares a common thread. Again, HAPPY 7th! LINDA

Hank- "rusty"?

Hank- "rusty"?

It just goes to show, you shouldn't read these thing too fast!
"My valve has been my trusty friend......"

I thought you wrote "rusty" instead of trusty.

A rusty valve would be a first for VR.com.

Glad it is trusty and has allowed you to give life to this website!:)

Congrats my friend! 7 years, yep it's a good #! Just hit that milstone a few weeks ago. All is well, all is well.

Wishing you many many more years of service from your valve.:)

Congrats on 7 hopefully problem free years. Yesterday was my valve's first anniversary. I brought my surgeon flowers and a thank you note :) . I remember to add six and know what to look forward to.

Lucky Seven.

Congratulations on seven years in your Valvular Bonus Round! Life is indeed the gift that keeps on giving. Thank you for this website, and what it has done to help so many through difficult times.

Very best wishes,

Congratulations on 7 successful years and prayers for many many more.

Do valves get the 7 Year Itch?

Little did we know seven years ago how important your valve replacement would become to us all, Hank.
I'd like to offer a prayer of thanks that you were given a second chance at life, and while doing so, found a means of connecting with and helping others find theirs.

Congratulations, Hank. I identify with you since I had my 7th anniversary last September 17, 05. My mitral St. Jude is now part of me. I don't even hear it any more. I'm 79 now and believe it will be with me until time to check out.
