Lisa in Katy

I've had my ticking valve for 6 years as of today. We spent the day at Schilitterbahn, where the weather held until 4:00. Because of the potentially crappy weather, the crowds stayed away so we had a great time and came home very tired. It seems that waterparks are my way of marking this great event. Last year we were at Schilitterbahn as well and the couple of years before we were at Splashtown. Guess it works since about a week before my surgery we went to Sea World in San Antonio and spent a day seeing the attractions, a day riding rides, and a day at the waterpark. I felt much better this time than I did that last time before the surgery.

My annual checkup will be in December so I will assume that everything is going well until then. I will be going in this week for my INR, but since I've been pretty stable for a year or so, I predict the same.

Life is good!

HAPPY 6 Year Anniversary!

HAPPY 6 Year Anniversary!

Hey Lisa,
Congratulations on your 6 year Anniversary. Sounds like you are doing Great and enjoying life. I enjoy water parks also. The Travel Channel just had a special on water parks and Schilitterbahn was one of the Top Ten.
Again Congratulations on your 6 years and I hope you have many more to enjoy.
Take Care

Congratulations!

Congratulations!

Congratulations on your anniversary! Sounds like you had a great time celebrating the day. Did you go to the Schlitterbahn on the Comal in New Braunfels? If so, I know it well - used to go at least once or twice a year in the good old days. I think there is talk of putting a park in at Galveston, too, but, of course, that would take a while. Happy anniversary!

Yea!!!

Yea!!!

Lisa:

Congratulations!!!!
Sounds like you had a great time. Back in the 1990s, I took my Camp Fire group to New Braunfels and we went to the Schlitterbahn and tubing on the river there. The girls were from a public housing project in downtown Fort Worth and they loved the trip.

Congrats, Katy, from one long termer (7 years) to another :D :D Sounds like you had a great time at Schlitterbahn. As was previously mentioned, the Travel Channel rated it as a number one water park. Our Splashing Safari at Holiday World (just 50 mile up the road from me) was rated third. Take care and enjoy yourself.

Congratulations Lisa!

Congratulations Lisa!

Good to hear you celebrated your sixth anniversary in my hometown of New Braunfels. Keep pumpin' those tourist dollars into the city... :D I live probably a mile or so from Schlitterbahn and a mile from Gruene which has the oldest dancehall in Texas and good music all the time. Lots of good tourist folks in the area during the summertime.

I still remember meeting you in San Antonio in December of 2000 at our reunion. Maybe we need another 'Texas' reunion one day.. We could all go to Schlitterbahn and act like 13 year olds!! We'd have to keep Miss Rain out of the water as she spills stuff...LOVE YA RAIN!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY LISA!!!

Happy anniversary Lisa!

Janie, I didn't remember that you lived in New Braunfels. I thought you lived in some podunk town towards Victoria!?!?

Yes, Schlitterbahn is fun. The one in Galveston is actually supposed to be open next summer. I'm sure it will be fabulous. I haven't been to the one at South Padre yet. It's such a long drive and there are plenty of places that are closer.

Rain, they have some hot tub bars at Schlitterbahn, so if you spill something, it goes into the water and you don't have to worry about the mess. Sounds like just what you need!

We should have another Texas reunion. I promise to come. Those reunions in "exotic" places are difficult to attend for us teachers! I'd have to get a sub, and that's just too much trouble!

Anyway, thank you to everyone for the well wishes. I'm planning on many more years with this ticker.
