I was watching the live feed on www.9news.com and the local sheriff just reported that he was found hiding in a box in the attic above the garage. Whew! what a relief. That kid and his brother have some "splannin" to do.

Okay, if I was the parent, I would obviously be glad that he is okay, but then I think I would kill him! (not really, but I might imagine it!).

but was it all a hoax????? free publicity for the mad scientist's new
invention? what...not enough publicity from appearing on that episode
of 'wife swap?'

"During a subsequent CNN interview with the family, Falcon was asked by his father, Richard, why he did not come out of the attic despite his parents repeatedly calling his name.

Falcon appears to answer: "You guys said that ... we did this for the show."

He sure got the publicity.

I said all along that the kid was under his bed. Have you ever seen a family who just went through the anxiety, fear and stress of all this, give such a lengthy interview to the press..?

Why weren't those kids in school? Are they homeschooled? Supposedly they called out a Blackhawk to 'track' the balloon; plus how many other public servants were involved in the 'rescue'...

Young kids will tell the truth and was it really just a "show". If it was and is in fact a hoax, those parents owe Colorado taxpayers a bundle..!

After watching mythbusters, it took 25,000 helium balloons to lift a 30lb child. The balloons made a bunch 30ft high and wide. There is no way a 20ft disk shaped baloon would have lifted a child. The "news" people who covered this farce should be in just as much hot water as the kid! And that would be A LOT of hot water if he were mine!

i don't know, that was a heckuva big helium saucer. remember this guy
who "Using his trusty BB gun to help him return to Earth, a 48-year-old gas
station owner flew a lawn chair rigged with helium-filled balloons more than
200 miles across the Oregon desert Saturday, landing in a field in Idaho."

UPDATE 2:20 PM ET — A TLC official tells TMZ the Heene family approached the network “months ago” with a reality show idea, but the network passed.

TMZ has learned the Heene family has been pitching a reality show about the wacky family, as one TV source put it, “all over town.”
We’re told Richard Heene pitched a series to Reality Real, as well as RDF Productions. RDF produces Wife Swap on which the family appeared back in March.
We’re also told the Heene’s have made the rounds at the networks, including TLC.
