Ran a 5K Saturday morning in 30:57 (9:58/mile avg). That's about 10 seconds per mile faster than my last 5K. I got 3rd place 60-64 age group but it was a cheap win. The age groups were broken down to 5 year divisions and there were several ahead of me in the 65-69. I won't turn down the trophy however.

Congratulations, a good time too! Those seconds add up and a win is a win.:)

Great going Jack, glad to see you won 3rd place!! Anybody that makes any attempt to do a race is a winner! Debbie :)

Congrats on your time ! Im about 20 years your junior and am still working my way up to sub 31 min. I'm 3 months and change post-op and am still working my towards running 30 minutes without stopping. I run on a treadmill still and my best time so far for 3 miles is 32:15. With about 1.5 minutes of that walking. I haven't even ran outside yet and I know thats going to be tougher than a treadmill. So hold your head high, your doing something that probably 95% of folks your age wouldn't even consider possible.

Congrats, great run

Congrats, great run

Jack, congrats on great run. Anytime you can go out there after AVR is a win, and a testament to your determination and conditioning. Keep it up, you're an inspiration!
