32nd anniversary and still clicking

Joann will celebrate her 32nd anniversary of mechanical mitral and aortic valves on DEC. 10th. Many of the regulars are aware of her wonderful story. This may give some of the newbie members encouragement and hope. Her condition was discovered in 1959-4 months after we were married. We have both living with the issues for many years. Joann lives because of many others-patients, doctors, nurses, etc. that gave so much for others to learn.

Still clicking and still living a very active life. Some great days, some good days, and a few=======days.

We both thank God every day for our doctors, medicine, family, and the giift of life. Joann is always willing to talk to others about the issues and how she has learned to live the valve replacements.

She just had a wonderful telephone call from a member in Maine regarding valve replacement.

Thank you Hank for allowing this story to be told.

Congratulations Joann and John!! Your story is inspiriing. I was diagnosted with MVP 3 months after Glenn and I married, so it's been over a 22 year journey for us. (what's with this marriage connection?) It's been a road we've always traveled together. I know Joann is so incredibly thankful to have you by her side (and vice versa!).

As I said last year and hope to say for many years yet to come,Happy Anniversary Joann.
We were married in 1960 so I can relate to where you are.
For me it has been 7 1/2 years and your story gives me and others a lot of hope for the future.
And last as I also said before we were both born and raised in Ohio, me in Cleveland and her in North Canton.
Once a Buckeye always a Buckeye, and that's not easy when you are living in Michigan.
