Well Friends, three years ago today - I was under the knife having my aortic valve replaced with a shiny new St. Jude mechanical valve.

My how the time has flown.

This would mean that in about a week, it will have been three years ago that I came up with the idea of starting a mailing list for people who had been through what I was going through. Needless to say, that blossomed into what we have here today.

Thank you so much to all of you for being a part of my life and wanting to help and be helped by others all over the world.

Life is a wonderful thing and for that - I am greatful. I love my wife, my family, and all of you very much.

Heres to another 3 years coming right up! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Congratulations Hank and THANK YOU for providing the web site and the means to communicate to each other. No one understands heart patients, like heart patients themselves.

Yes, Life is wonderful and it keeps getting a little better everyday. :)

Congrats!!

Congrats!!

I bet you never thought your dream of helping others would grow into this place, huh :D ?!? This place has helped countless people deal with the fear and insecurity deriving from open heart surgery and you deserve every credit for it!

Here's to many more years to come :). All my very best to you!

You da Man!

You da Man!

Hey Hank

My sincere congratulations on another anniversary. You should be proud of what you have made happen here with this site! That others have such a resource available is truly a "Good Thing."

Sincere best wishes. :D

Dear Hank - what a great world to live in with our own personal miracles. And thank you so much for having the 'heart' to make it possible to share with each other. And for those with upcoming surgery, you, too, will be among those personal miracles and Hank has made it possible for you to join this wonderful group. Before he followed his inspiration, there just wasn't a site like this one. Congratulations, Hank - we are proud to know you and be a part. God bless

HANK! HAPPY THIRD ANNIVERSARY!

Congratulations and may you have manny manny manny more aniversaries!

You have given us all a place to connect and relate to! This site was such a God Send to have found. I know many feel the same way. We wouldn't all be a VR.com family if it wasn't for you're creativity of the site, Hank, and Michele's patience because of the long hours you devoted to this site!
Life is wonderful! I'm very glad you had wanted to help others. The growth of this site is such a tribute to you Hank!
May the dream live on forever................ :)

Hank,

I think there must be at least 368 people who would be delighted to lift a glass of champange to you, wish you a very happy anniversary, and join in a chorus of "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow."

We're glad to know that you are feeling so well and that life is wonderful for you too.

Thanks for making this site possible and for making this valuable resource available to us and for hundreds of people who will discover it in the coming years.

Ron K (Actually, I'd prefer a cold brew is a nice, frosted mug in some warm local. Maybe in Las Vegas?)

Congratulations Hank

May you have a life full of miracles and good health.

Sincere thanks for thinking of this site. It's helped me tremendously and Joe also. In our daily lives, there just isn't anyone who understands what this surgery entails, but here, we all know the score and can help each other through the rough spots.

There's nothing like someone who's been through the process.

So thanks again and CHEERS!

Hank - Great to hear about your third anniversary. I am pleased that you came up with this idea and that you are healthy and happy. However, I did want to thank you for helping the rest of us by putting your time, energy and money into this web site. I would also like to acknowledge your long three-year commitment to all of us.

Hank,
Congrats on the three years!!!

Life is GRAND!!! Thank you for this wonderful site.

Hey Hank

Don't always check Heart talk as it is for the more serious stuff, so I nearly missed your anniversary.

Congratulations from Ireland, and many more 'anniversaries' to both you and VR.com.

Sincerely,

Hank,

How thankful I am for your 3 years. Your attitude of determination has brought hope for you, your family, and hundreds of others through this web site. Thank you for the investment.

Great Anniversary (3 yrs )

Great Anniversary (3 yrs )

:D Hi Hank. Well everyone has already said it. Not much I can add to it.

I too have to thank you for this web site. It made it possible to go through the scary beginning and all the way till surgery day.

Of course all the wonderful people who give me advice and talk to me is just wonderful. I can't begin the thank everyone. I tell my friends about the nice people that I have gotten to know. Now I have so many new friends. And no one understands a heart patient like another heart patient. Many long years for you Hank. Syl:) :) :) :)
