It's really been three whole months. now i'm supposed to schedule a
three-month post-op checkup with my cardio, only he's like a 12-hour
flight away, not to mention needing another visa. there's a telemed
option, but seems to be hoops through which to jump, so let's see
if we can get all this handled here.

I'm going in tomorrow morning for another PT-INR test, and will get
the chief cardio to run the tests. i've done a search, many posts of
completed the 3-month tests, but no listing of what it all includes.

So far i've got the following translated:

:eek:treadmill test
:eek:echocardiogram
:eek:ecg routine
:eek:chest x-ray
:eek:blood urea
:eek:creatinine
:eek:complete blood count

anything missing?
anything included that's not necessary?

I didn't have treadmill test. Cardio saw no reason for it.

I had chest x-ray, blood work, and echo.
I saw my cardio at three weeks post op and he continues to see me often though I'm doing mostly well. He's kept a close eye on me but it was my second OHS and I have other heart history.

Good luck. Sure sounds like you are doing amazingly well.

Hi,
I am 2 days behind you (surgery was on the 12th of Jan), had my 12 week post op check - was less than I thought, just an echo, ecg & x-ray (I live in the U.K.)

Thanks

Andy

groovy. the email i got from my cardio in india indicated a treadmill test. maybe
that's just normal procedure there. i won't worry about it then unless something
abnormal appears in the other test results. anyway, i'm not too sure about my
translation....i could go and ask for a tachejiancha or maybe a taimianmojiancha
and no telling what could happen. it's so confucious!

My 3 month is the 23rd with my surgeon. I saw my cardio at 5 weeks and just had an EKG (which I think is mandatory to walk in the door). I see my cardio again in 6 months and then have an echo. I was hoping for one last visit, I want to see my valve not flopping like 2 whips in the wind.
