Well, now I seem to be on this thread, but it is working slowly to post.

Anyway, my only news is that I will weigh this weekend. Company leaves tomorrow. Will try to recover.

Summertime and the living is...not always easy....:redface2:

Yay! The throwdowners are reunited again!

Hey, I resemble that cartoon Cooker. I'm sure I retained food this week too.

SB, it is hard to follow a weight loss plan with company. Enjoy it while they're there!

Duffey, you seem to be having a good week. Somebody has to!

I weigh 185 as of this morning. That's a weekly gain of 1.2 lbs. So, for the FDS, I'm up 1.7 total. Could be worse!

Do you believe in miracles? --- YES! (It is Olympics time, after all.) :biggrin2:

A near-miracle has occurred: despite taking visiting family to a procession of fine eateries, including an all-you-can eat Italian one, Superbob has gained not so much as a tenth of a pound this week. He has maintained, somehow. Maybe walking a teen-ager around a shopping mall worked for exercise. :D

Anyway, SuperDuperBob is still down 0.8 for the Race to Founders Day.

BTW, when is Founders Day anyway? Superbob wants to set his sights on the finish line.

Let's leave the dangerous behaviours to the youngsters. Mature bodies can't handle it.
But please throw me your lost pounds, I need some butt crack filler ;)

I agree with our wise Bina:) My physiotherapist warned me the same way about weight training ... to leave it to the youngsters who can handle it! My mature body needs Tai Chi :biggrin2:

She also recommended me to increase my exercise, fiber and raw veggies intake which will increase my energy level by decreasing my weight.

A miracle happened since then...the *Miracle of Walking* and "readjusting many things in my life"!

I lost 11.2 lbs since my birthday...since April! I hope I won't jinx myself!

Bina, I shall send all of the 11.2 by insured mail to you. You pick as many as you want and throw the rest away...PLS do not send back!:biggrin2:

Mr. Chimp, do not be harsh on yourself. You have been doing great. I do not use much of the artificial sweetners anymore as, in my personal situation, the more I had the more I craved for carbs!

Superbob, August 20 is Founder's Day.
Eva, great going on the weight loss and your walking. Once it cools down, I intend to enter some 5K races and walk them.
Keep stopping by and let us know how you're doing.:smile2:

Don't feel bad about the gain, Bob. I returned from Alaska on Saturday night. After 2 weeks of eating in restaurants and on the cruise ship, with dessert at every meal, I gained 10 lbs - up to 148.8!!!!
Fortunately, part of that IS water. As of this morning, I'm down to 144.5 (maybe that's just where that digital scale was sitting on the tile, but I'll take it).

Pictures can be found at: http://www.makcophotos.com/Alaska/July-2012

Click on the Alaska link, then July 2012.

The pictures are really good, Laurie. I know Cooker said the scenery was spectacular, but he didn't have any pics to prove it!

My husband has a pretty good camera, and he works hard at the photos.

We were so lucky.
The sun came out for us when we really needed it.
We are among the 30% of visitors who got to see The Mountain - it's usually cloud covered. And the bubble-net feeding humpbacks - amazing!

Laurie, your photos are absolutely beautiful. I'm impressed with the photography! Looks like you had a good time and that it was worth the temporary gain. Thanks for sharing!
