Hey everybody, I just wanted to tell you all about my one year annual exam...my echo looked good, and my heart sounded great! My cardio was telling me about exanta and he thinks that as soon as it gets approved by the FDA, that I would be a good candidate for it. I have mixed feelings about this...it's going to be brand new on the market, and there are some drugs that don't do so well...fen fen etc... but then again not INR testing? That would be great! I don't know, any imput? I just thought I would let everybody know that it was good, and see what you guys think about this exanta thing.

Hey Joy,
Congratulations on a Very Good checkup. Sounds like you are doing really good! I have been reading up on Exanta and it does sound exciting. I just hope it turns out as good as it sounds.
There are so many things to way when taking something so new. But I guess we don't know if we don't try. If you are given it after it is approved, I hope everything turns out OK. Please keep us posted.
Take Care

Dave

Hi Joy,

Congratulations on a great check-up! It's a shame you are still dealing with the Coumadin. Any chance of coming off?

Though, with the prospect of Exantra...I feel it would be safer for youself with a lower target range INR than that of someone in the 3.5 target with a prosthetic valve. Need to stay on the higher end of the scale myself.

Have given this alot of thought. If Exanta is approved for prosthetic valve patients....I will not be the first person to jump on the wagon. Give it a minimum of 2 years before consideration. Not interested in stroking out or worse. I am sure there will be many that will be up for the trial.

Will be waiting patiently in the foreground.

Good luck to you.

Hey, Sweetie - nice to see you. We miss you, but know that motherhood/wifehood makes it hard to find time.......

Congratulations on your successful checkup.

Tinkerbelles ears must have been burning. I was pretty close to emailing you to find out how you were. Congrats on the great report. Wanna trade?

I'm with Gina on the Exanta. 2 year market release before I'd even think about it.

Congratulations Joy on a good check up!

Mark

PS: Hope you stayed dry last night. That was the most rain Seattle ever had in a 24 hour period. Amazing!
