Today I had my 2 week post op visit with my local cardio, whom I happen to just love. I had a x-ray, ekg and echo. Everything looks great. My new tricuspid valve has hardly any leakage at all. My rhythm is good and I had no fluid at all in my chest on the x-ray. The only thing disappointing that I learned was that muscle in the part of my right ventricle that had been atrialized all of these years due to the position of my native tricuspid valve is basically non-functioning which just leaves me with a little bit of right ventricle muscle that actually has the ability to pump. Thank goodness that is on my right side versus my left. So, eveything is good for now and I return in 2 months.
