Good luck to HarleyM and SusanC54 tomorrow. I hope you'll have someone post on the results asap afterwards. Enjoy the view at the top of the mountain, but remember to come back down! :)

Wishing HarleyM and SusanC54 all the best for their surgeries tomorrow.

Maureen

Best wishes, Harley and Susan- we'll be patiently waiting for good news.

Good luck Harley and Susan! May you both have the most mundane, boring stories of your surgeries to relate in a few days!

Thank you very much. My surgery is 4/26, I'm sorry don't know how to change the calendar. Anyways pre-op today.
Best wishes for Susan and a boring surgery

Surgery on Tuesday eay? Well if it's Tuesday ... it must be ....:D
I think I see a pattern here with all these surgeons. Tuesday and Wednesday are THE days.

Good luck to both of you -- Susan and Harley!

Thank you all for your kind thoughts. This forum has been a godsend to me! I truly appreciate everyone's input and comments.

I just got home from the hospital where I had my angiogram....all clear, so no bypasses for me. I feel good because I was really more nervous about the angiogram than the surgery tomorrow. They have all these tests down to a real routine at Mayo Clinic. They do about 30 angios or more per day.

I got all kinds of literature today about my surgery tomorrow and something which I haven't read about on these forums, so I thought I'd mention it. I was given a prescription for Bactroban which is an antibiotic probably most commonly used for impetigo. For these purposes it is used pre-surgery in the nasal passages so that you don't breathe germs on your incision and infect yourself. Is this common practice or something new? If you all know about this already, just ignore this!

I'll post as soon as I'm able.........

Thanks again to everyone!

Susan

Good luck to both of you, looking forward to hearing the boring surgery reports!

Susan, My best wishes are sent to you. I'll look forward to reading your progress too when I return home.
No computer for me at the hospital so I have asked my wife to give updates here. This site has kept me calm and I have learned so much.

Pre-op was done today. It's a go. I have to be at the hospital Wed morning 5:30am. Dr says surgery should take about 1.5 hrs. I guess one would say "Let's get it on" as I am as ready as one could be.

Good luck and God speed to you both. Let us know when you make in to the other side of the mountain. It's great on this side!
