Left last Thursday morning..returned home this afternoon. We drove to Door county, Wisconsin for my Hubby's Aunt's 100th birthday. she had a great celebration at her church..with 100 friends, family...last Sunday..with over 100 cards with money to give to her church.:) She still lives alone..in a beautiful apartment over-looking Lake Michagan...and has plans to fly to Nevada for a free gambling trip in July:D ..she kept us on our toes all weekend to make sure we were on time for all events.:p Takes NO meds.....I am worn out from the trip:p Hubby just called her on telephone to tell her we were home..Very alert to the places we stayed.....Most of trip was in Illinois..(western)..passed a little thru Kentucky/Indiana..Went thru Milwaukee..(Awful traffic) Just trying to avoid Chicago..where we heard before hand how the roads are all torn up from constuction.Glad to be home in the rolling Mountains of the south. :D Illinois is too flat for me.:p ..Bonnie

Glad you had a good time, Bonnie. Isn't it amazing how if they make it to 100 it's usually in very good health. There have been studies done of centurians that say their attitude is a good part of their survival- I believe it! Enjoy home sweet home and rest up over the weekend.

Glad you're safely back home, Bonnie!
Things have been too quiet around here without ya!:p :p :p

We love DC. Did you visit Egg Harbor? We will be up there this summer. 6 hour drive from Chicago. And yes...our roads stink at the moment:mad: Good thing you avoided. I travel around rush hours....so it's not a big deal to me.

Hey Bonnie,
Glad to hear you guys had a good time and made it home safely. Had wondered where you have been.
I posted a picture of Bob for you.:)
Take Care

*eyes Bonnie suspiciously*

Whatdya mean you came through Illinois ... and didn't stop'n'see me?!?!?!?!

*shakes head*

Ah, well ... glad you got to do the road trip and help celebrate your hubby's aunt's 100th birthday ... what an accomplishment!

I'm guessing your route took you straight up I-39...to avoid Chicagoland...? Even so, you were less than an hour from my home..... I would be more than happy to have met up with you ... along I-39 even, as I know that route quite well ... and, while Mom's parents were still alive, crossed it at least once a month en route to the assisted-living facility where they had lived the last few years.....

*sighs*

Oh, well ... always next time, right? ;) Very glad to see that you have returned home safe'n'sound.
