It has been 16 long months since my last surgery and my stroke.I am still makingslow progress. I am so glad that I have coninued to improve inspite of what my rehab doctor thought. I will continue therapy in Jan. after I have gotten my car repaired. I can't have my car repaired until I get the backpay from social security. For now I just get to hang out at home

Hi Lettitia

Hi Lettitia

I just turned on my computer.(.been out of town for 3 days) to check VR.Com..and was so happy to see your post. It's been a long time since we have heard from you...Know Ross, will be tickled, too. You gave us one heck of a scare when we lost you after your surgery.... We searched all over La. for you :p I think it was your brother who finally gave us the news of your having a stroke after surgery. ( In Houston, Texas) Glad you are better..keep us informed . We missed you. :) For our newer teacher members..Lettitia is also a teacher. Bonnie

Hi Lettitia-

Nice to see a post from you. While you're hanging out at home, stop by every once in a while and post a few things.

I'm so glad you are still improving. No one should ever pay attention to predictions on outcomes, just keep forging ahead and taking little steps at a time.

Have a happy holiday.

Golly, gee, Letitia, it's so good to hear your voice and that you are moving along.

My dear Joe had a stroke. I found a book written by a lady who also had a stroke - a really bad one - and she was told that two years was as long as she could expect improvement. She didn't believe it, kept working, and got really well again. The same for my Joe. He continued to regain for the rest of his life. He drove his car, danced again, did everything he could do before, except write with his right hand. But he learned the lefty way.

You sound really good. Hope that check comes in soon. Then you can catch up all that stuff.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
