I'm now 7 months 1 week post surgery and ran a 10K today.
Here's a short report.

Here were my pre-race predictions.
Estatic time 1:05
Happy time 1:10
Satisfied time 1:15

I'll start at the end, I finished 1:11:42 on a course that was 6.32 miles.
So I'm a happy camper.

This is a tough one, especially for me. Elevation at start is 3329 at the 5K turn-around 3544 and the 10K turn-around 3607.
I knew I'd struggle on the uphill part but was persistant and ran the whole way up. I almost changed my mind at the 5K turn-around to run the shorter distance. After I made my decision, the course levels out just a little for about 1/2 mile so I was able to pick up the pace but not charge the hill too much. My uphill time was 38:05. Coming down was good as I much prefer downhills. My return time was 33:37, almost five minutes faster.
Weather was a little on the warm side and there is no shade.
Next up is most likely a 1/2 marathon on June 2 in Fontana, CA.

Hey Kodi,
Sounds good. The downhills are definitely more fun, it doesn't matter if it's running or riding. Your times are very impressive, I still can't cover 10k much less in the time you are doing it. Already looking to do a half marathon? wow. Looking forward to hearing about it.

Good news, Kodi! You are doing great for 7 months out. You will crush the half mary.

congrats!!

congrats!!

Awsome! Good to hear you're going for it.

people either live or they die, I'm glad to hear you're choosing the former!
