1.8 Again!

eek: Well I am still 1.8! After 5 finger pokes back and forth on both hands. I am tired and frustrated and I don't know what to do. I will call my doc tomorrow. I increased my dose sunday and monday . . . maybe it is too early yet. Any help would be appreciated. I just don't want to be below two anymore. That is so unsettling. I have been under 2.0 for almost 2 weeks. Sorry I am venting but I didn't come all this way to have problems now. Seth

What daily doses have you taken this last 7 days ?

As far as I understand it the inr result is dependant on the dose about 3 days ago...with this increase in activity it looks like you are metabolising the Coumadin faster and would probably need to increase your dose by a bit for everyday.....maybe break some pills in half or get some 1mg or 2mg pills so you can adjust the dose easier and more evenly.

wednesday to wednesday it was 7.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5, 10, 10, 7.5, and tonight i went 12.5.

If it were me, I would go to 10mg/day and retest in a week. If you are uncomfortable with that, then go 10mg X 5 and 7.5mg X 2, retest in a week and adjust from there.
