    Vision Issues and Coumadin

Vitdoc, that's the most in-depth explanation I've seen yet. Thanks so much for posting. Very helpful information to know and given what you've stated, I feel even more confident now that the blood thinner is not the cause.

Where are you getting your supplies?

Yes, I believe they are on the East Coast. I always go with the free shipping which is standard usps shipping and gets delivered within a few days to a week, but there are options for expedited shipping at additional cost which i have never had to use because I always order well ahead of...

    Vision Issues and Coumadin

Thank you pellicle and tom for your responses. I wanted rule out the possibility of any connection of the vision issue to the meds. It does seem that its more likely than not unrelated. This is a great forum and your help is much appreciated. I will be reading and adding my two cents where I...

Availability of CoaguChek XS strips on eBay

I have been getting my test strips on Reliaston.com with no problems at all. I used to get them on Ebay and have tried a few other online stores, but found this to be the best source.

Where are you getting your supplies?

I would definitely recommend Reliaston. I had purchased on Ebay for a while until I found Reliaston - a much better online source for test strips. Very reliable, great customer service, and most reasonable prices. I tried Selfcaredepot one time and not as good as Reliaston. The problem I had...

    INR test strip expiration date

I've used Coaguchek test strips that were 5 months expired one time and checked against a lab result - it was within 0.1INR as I usually get. Not saying this is any kind of confirmation and am not recommending it to anyone. Just a data point may be.

15 years self testing and self managing

I don't know what I would do without the ability to self test. Thank goodness for Roche! One huge benefit is travel. Just bring my meter, strips, and meds with me and I'm good to go. Awesome!

    Inrange is on the way

I've been using the INRange for almost 2 years and test 1-2 times per week. I do a lab test occasionally just to check against my meter and it's been within 0.1 INR every time.

Did I sell out? Not exactly

I've looked into several of these subscription places and it's just not worth the hassle and the costs when you can do self-testing on your own. They are all just middle men. I've ben self-monitoring on my own for over 5 years now. The meters and test strips are available online at reasonable...

    Vision Issues and Coumadin

I've been on Coumadin since 2018 and in January of this year I started to experience some vision issues in my right eye - particularly flashes in peripheral regions. Optomoligist determined it to be 'Posterior Vitreous Detachment' and told me that it should get back to normal in a month or two...
