Just wanted to chime in with a response. I've only had my on-x valve for 8 days, but the last couple of days it seems like I can feel the valve clicking when I take a deep breath, but so far, I can't hear it. Anyone else *feel* their valve?

Yeah I'm taking 25 mg of metoprolol a day. They were talking about an inr of 1.5-2.0 after several months. Does that not work out for the on-x valve, even though that's what they say? I have to read some more around here about all of this. I also saw my regular doctor today and she is going...

I would like to eventually. I need to figure out if insurance will pay for the meter, but either way it looks like you can buy them fairly reasonably. Right now they want me at 2.0-3.0 and I got tested today and I was 2.5. So at least nothing is too out of whack.

OP here. Well after reading everything here and following good advice, I got my on-x valve last Tuesday. I got home yesterday afternoon. There were some complications though, when cutting out the old valve some of the calcification got into one of my coronary arteries. But they didn't realize...

I haven't had it yet and may change my mind after reading everything here. It's not just about the warfarin to me, there's something about having a mechanical device in my body also. It just seems so unnatural. I'll admit I'm still grappling with all of this. Okay go ahead and flame away on me...

Just curious, had you been a good candidate for the Ross, would you have done it?

I think the ozaki procedure would be even riskier than the Ross.

Hi Pan, I am scheduled for Ross procedure December 13th. Such a hard decision to make on what type of valve to go with. I realize it hasn't been very long, but would you suggest the Ross having gone through it?
