I eat and drink what I want whilst I've been on Wafarin. no changes for me :) yes drinking alcohol may elevate it but I just adjust my dose if I'm outside my INR range, all good. The benefits of self testing at home :)

I stopped metoprolol about 3 months after my AVR. I didn't wan't to stay on it for long, and as soon as my HR went back to normal, high 60s low 70s I stopped it with the doctors approval.

Yep it happened to me. Everything tasted different, bland and salty post my AVR, my taste came back to normal by about week 3 or 4.

Yeah it was nice for a change seeing my Cardio for some positive news. And now it's all behind me! The last 10 or so visits (over 10 years) had been the opposite lol wondering when I will need surgery and hearing the negative changes etc that my Cardio was reporting.
