Yes, that is part of the issue. I have a 19mm St Jude as it was the largest they could give me at the time. Quite large for a tiny three year old. I’m not particularly tall so chances are it might have lasted.

One of the leaflets is sticking at times and staying open longer than it should. I had the surgery at 3 years old so they were never sure how long it would last due to me having to grow from a very small child to an adult.

Thanks for getting in touch. I probably overreacted and dropped down to 5mg for two days (Tues and Weds) Then have gone back to normal dose. Will take 10mg tonight and tomorrow (normally 9mg for both weekend nights) and hopefully that’ll boost it back into range.

Yeah, never really believed it until it happened and the nurse at the INR clinic said it could be a huge factor.

Stress definitely effects INR too. I have noticed when I have been particularly stressed with work or when my nana died my INR changed quite significantly.

It works for me and seems to be keeping me in range at the moment.

I take 9mg Tues, Thurs, Sat and Sun and then 10mg on Mon, Weds and Fri. My dose has been changed up and down and is always increased/decreased where necessary to bring me in range. At some points I had to take 12mg. I have a 7 day pill box which really helps and have a Coagucheck xs machine...
