    Heartbeat visible under skin

Hi, I can hear and feel mine all the time yet to actually see I have not. Your referring to you pulse correct? Imagination? Perhaps muscle twitches/spasms here n there.? What exactly do you see on neck and stomach? Like a pulsating movement?

aetos, how does hibiscus tea help? Hi, it's effectiveness has been proven in multiple studies... read up on it and you'll see Hibiscus tea has been a traditional remedy for high blood pressure in Iran and other countries around the world. In one study, drinking hibiscus tea for just 12 days...

    Motivational Documentary

What a mutha ##{## lol. I just finished watching it. Was very motivational. Definitely worth watching. Loved the intro. It's funny each time he was speaking in the gym, I was pressing pause to see if what I was hearing was my tick or his.

    Post surgery Depression

I know it's tough but you'll get thru this again as you have done so. Perhaps try not isolating yourself from loved ones, stay open with them and let them know how you feel. Keep your head up Phil, you can do this!

    Blood pressure!

Lisa perhaps it's a case of white coat syndrome? Have you checked it elsewhere aside from the doc's office? Aside from my prescrips I use hibiscus tea, bell peppers, bananas and dark choc 90% daily to keep my blood pressure in order. Hope all works out for you...

    Anybody here in Toronto?

Many thanks:) It's been quite a ride and certainly changes your perspective on life that's for sure. Thankfully all is well. To be honest I felt quite better at 6-7 months post op than I do today. Could be due to the weather, I was much more active in the summer, endlessly biking and walking...

    Mech Valve Coping Survey

I’ve been noticing this “THUMP” like feeling more as of late. I’m now 7 month post op. It wasn’t like this few months ago, I feel this more now each and every time I inhale and not while exhaling. I dropped an email to my surgical team and they said this was common. Gets me bit paranoid though...

    Mech Valve Coping Survey

Funny reading this- I was showing a house over the weekend. While upstairs in the bedroom it was really quiet and the owner was in their reading. When leaving the house with my client- the owner greeted us at the door and he said "that's a nice watch you have- it's really loud eh" I said thanks...

Emotionally, I could use some support. Thanks.

Tigerlil, have you seen your surgeon after the latest results, did they give you an estimated time frame or schedule you for future test's? I can see why you are emotional and you have every right to be. On the FLIP SIDE, you've gone through this and when and if needed, you'll get through this...

    Diarrhoea :-)

Lmao. Hilarious! Jokes aside though, I was given some laxatives to go along side with my pain killers when I got out. I never really used them (pain meds) but after doing some research, they were a very common side effect. Nothing some baby wipes can't clean up I hope :)

Rowing Machines....safe for cardiac patients to use?

I'm 6 months post op now and feel better then ever. Thanks to walking and walking and walking lol and cycling 3-4 times a week. Do some light weighs on the side, nothing heavy- so long as I can do reps of 20-25 just to enough to stay toned up. Walking and cycling is a great form of excersice for...

    Post OP sto

Agree with dick0236, your 10 days post op and still fresh, don't take anything in your own hands and chill for while. Focus on getting healthy for now. As for pain meds- I stopped after insane nightmares 5 days after surgery. Took Tylenol extra strength for the first month faithfully every 4...

    Mechanical valve- anyone Vape/smoke

Good for you, certainly did the right thing. I was a heavy smoker myself- 2 packs per day. Stop cold once my valve was in, 3-4 months after I would have the occasional one here n there yet as of late I did purchase one of those vape ones and have been using when the urge kicks in. ****** habit...

    Mechanical valve- anyone Vape/smoke

Tough habit to break eh. Were you a heavy smoker, notice any different when vaping. What do your docs think or say about it?
