Sending prayers for your speedy recovery....I know what you are going through, I myself have finally recovered from pericarditis that lasted months...I hope you are able to come home soon. It does get better.....

I agree with Maryka, (about the pain between the shoulder blades). You may want to re-think aneurysm surgery first...

I don't know, one going into surgery, one coming out of surgery joyriding in a Porsche, ......there's a movie waiting to be made ...;) Take it easy.......both of you.....lol

It took me 2 months to finally sleep in my bed, left side, right side, flat, every which way hurt. Slept on my chaise almost sitting up for the longest time, even now it hurts on my left side slightly....but it does get better.....hang in there.

Sorry to hear that you are going through this. I had a similar situation (without the draining), and I am still being treated with motrin and colchicine. Hope all goes well for you, listen to your body and do not over-do it.

I have CIGNA HMO...all I had to pay was the co-pay of $200 for my surgery. Interesting that I am now getting calls from the anesthesiologists for money. However it's nice to have in an e-mail that I have from the head of the anesthesiology dept 2 days before my surgery assuring me that CIGNA...

Cost billed to my provider over 175K, I paid only my HMO co-pay, which was very little. I am fortunate to work for a large company with a good HMO.

I have my Rocky Horror T-shirt on and taking a "jump to the left" tonight. ;) Wanted to go to the Greenwich Village Parade...not feeling up for crowds yet...... HAPPY HALLOWEEN !

Well, I am finally going back to work Monday. It's been a bumpy ride, with the pericarditis set back, but it is now managable, and time for me to start my "new life". Being part of this forum and the advice and wisdom gained from it , has made me a much better person. To know that complete...
