    Irbesartan Medication

Hi cldlhd - I have emailed by cardio yesterday email and received a reply this morning. He said that the BP reading is because I'm anxious every time I put the cuffs. He said that I should not worry.... I do have white coat syndrome. My BP always goes really high when I'm infornt of a doc. By...

    Irbesartan Medication

Hi all - just an update. The side effects / withdrawal symptoms seems to be going down, I can now cope with the med, even at 300mg. Still have itchiness, occasional dizzy and quite depressed/emotional at times. The problem is that I check my BP in the evening (I take the pill mornings) and it's...

    Irbesartan Medication

Epstns - thank you for your reply. Did you had any side effects when you stopped it at all? Today I feel much better, but checked my BP this eve and it's still quite high. It varies from 145/76 to 131/67. Maybe till the medication adjusts.

    Irbesartan Medication

This is very helpful Northernlights. Thank you. I read some research after seeing your post. It showed as you said that, taking the maximum dose approved by FDA, had truly reversed the dilation or significantly reduced its dilation rate. It also said that the key was to have a high dose. So this...

    Irbesartan Medication

Hi epstns, thanks for your reply. May I kindly ask you, did it give you any side effects and did you take it every morning? I was reading that some people take it before bed, but forgot to ask whether that's an option. Thank you.

    Irbesartan Medication

Dear all thank you for your replies already. So I got in touch with my cardiologist and said that, I could reduce it down to 150mg for 1 week, but go back up to 300mg. I think the dose is bit high as you mentioned Eva. He said that I should try and keep it, as there is ongoing research at the...

    Irbesartan Medication

Hi all - Hopefully someone can shed some light. My cardiogist asked me to stop taking Atenolol (25mg x 2 per day) and start on Irbesaran 300mg x 1 per day. I've been taking Atenolol for nearly 4 years, but my cardiologist said that their are currently some benefits on slowing down the aortic...

    My appointment results.

Yes you are right cldlhd, I am thinking about it to be honest. I'm in a lot of fear now, I hate it. Please keep updating cldlhd. Is there anyone else with the same root measurement who has been like this for quite some time or who had aortic root replacement ? Today, I contacted extent ltd...

    My appointment results.

Hi all - just to update you all. Today I had my follow up, basically, the aorta is pretty much the same 46-47mm, but said has increased from 44mm since 2009. He said that my heart is deep and couldn't really see further up, so he wants to rule any enlargement further up by performing an MRI in 9...

    Hello again

Hi Cldhld - I really don't mind answering any question about this subject, that's why I'm in this forum. My kids were 2 years old (twins) and my eldest was 6 years. They are now 5 years and 9. So they should be due again a scan soon.

    Hello again

I am so glad that you think the same about the BAV website, Northernlights. I felt that it portrayed BAV as a hopeless case. I have a young GP now, who also, a few months ago told me, that he has BAV! So I find talking to him really helpful. But cannot really see him regularly ! :) May I...
